Kesgrave News is produced and distributed every month by a team of volunteers, and
is a fine example of what a local community magazine can become.
Started in July 1992 as a single sided newsletter, it grew quickly to a double sided
newsletter and then became a sixteen page community magazine in February 1993. It
now boasts twenty-four A4 pages a month with colour front/inside cover and centre
pages and has a circulation of about 5,900. A sign of the magazine's success is that
it is funded by local and regional advertising.
Despite rising costs and an ever-growing circulation we are still able to meet our
original ideals: to carry news and opinion from the local community and to be a good
general read as well. The magazine is hand delivered by a local distribution team,
free of charge, to every household and business in the Town.
Kesgrave News is produced using a desktop publishing package (PagePlus) and is electronically
delivered to the printers to produce high quality layouts and artworks.
